1. All the participants must bring their own uniform. Shoes are a must. (Preferably Flat Shoes).
2. Aprons & Caps will be provided by UDS Hotels.
3. Collect your chest number, and sign the entry form by 3:00 PM on 24th March 2026.
4. The distance of the 'power walk' is 900 meters approximately.
5. It is a power walk and participants WHO RUN WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
6. Once the race begins you will not be allowed to touch or handle the items on top of the tray.
7. The participants must bring their own tray.
8. You can hold the tray in either hand (Right or Left).
9. The bottles will be provided by UDS Hotels.
10. If glasses/bottles fall during the race, do not pick them up. Volunteers will be present.
11. The race winners will be those who pass the finishing line with all items still on top of the tray.
12. The Entrance fee is FREE.
13. All the participants must be present at Vellar Junction at the starting point at 4:00 PM.
14. From 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM, shuttle transfers are available from UDS Hotel to Vellar Junction.
15. Briefing of the function will be done at UDS Kovalam before the race.
16. Medical assistance is available throughout the race; contact UDS representatives in uniform.
17. Refreshment arrangements are provided at the finish point starting from 5:00 PM up to 6:00 PM.
18. All the participants will get a Participant Certificate.
19. Any participant who doesn’t meet the above rules or has missing bottles on the tray at the finishing point will be recorded as disqualified, and the final decision as per the Judges.

Contest Structure
Rules
- Minimum 3–4 ingredients must be used.
- At least one by-product ingredient must be included (peel, pulp, stem, seeds etc.).
- No artificial syrups allowed.
- Garnish must be edible.
- Judges will evaluate based on taste, presentation, innovation, sustainability story, and cost control.
Zero Waste Ingredient Ideas
Citrus
- Lemon peel (candied / infused syrup)
- Orange zest (powder garnish)
- Lime pulp (used in shrub)
- Dried orange slices
Example: Citrus Peel Syrup – Boil peels with jaggery and cinnamon, strain to create a natural syrup. No waste.
Pineapple
- Pineapple skin → fermented lightly for natural fizz (tepache style)
- Pineapple core → blended into juice
- Pineapple leaves → biodegradable decorative stirrer
Watermelon
- Red fruit → fresh juice
- White rind → blended with mint and ginger as base
- Seeds → roasted and powdered garnish
Mango
- Mango peel → dehydrated powder
- Mango seed → infused water
- Overripe mango → puree base
Cucumber
- Peel → infused water
- Seeds → blended into base
- Ends → used for syrup

Participation: Teams of 2 (Same Hotel or College)
Max Entries: Limited to 15 Teams
THE CHALLENGE: 10 MINUTES TO PERFECTION
- The Sprint: On the "Start" signal, teams must run to the designated area, retrieve their folded beds, and move them to their marked locations.
- The Setup: Teams must make the bed according to professional 5-star hotel standards.
- The Finale: The bed must be decorated (Theme: Excellence & Elegance).
- Time Limit: The entire process must be completed within 10 minutes.
JUDGING CRITERIA
While speed is essential, the judges will score heavily on:
- Technical Finishing: Tight hospital corners, wrinkle-free sheets, and pillow alignment.
- Creative Decoration: Aesthetic appeal and "Wow" factor.
- Professionalism: Teamwork and demeanour during the process.
Note: No hotel uniform or badges are required. No partiality will be allowed.
